CX-30

The 2026 Mazda CX-30, the company’s smallest crossover, has a broader lineup now with the debut of two Aire Edition trims that show off two-tone interiors and gloss-black exterior accents. This five-seat subcompact continues to come with all-wheel drive, although it’s now enhanced by revised dampers and a brake-based limited-slip differential for improved traction and ride comfort. Select trims add a larger (10.25 inches) touchscreen with expanded Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality, among other connectivity and safety upgrades for the new model year.

Trims and Powertrains

The 2026 Mazda CX-30’s extensive trim range consists of the S, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Air Edition, S Carbon Edition, S Premium, Turbo Aire Edition, and Turbo Premium Plus. Most of them get a 186-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The Turbo Aire Edition and Turbo Premium Plus have a turbocharged version of the same engine, which puts out 227 horsepower (or 250 horsepower with premium fuel). A six-speed automatic transmission manages the standard all-wheel-drive system. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is 24 mpg in city driving and 31 mpg on the highway for the base engine. The turbo powerplant is rated to achieve 22 mpg around town and 30 mpg on the open road. The cargo space behind the rear seat measures 20.2 cubic feet.

Standard Features by Trim

The base CX-30 S has remote keyless entry, fabric upholstery, automatic LED headlights, push-button start, a 7-inch digital information display, power side mirrors with built-in turn signals, variable-intermittent windshield wipers, dual USB ports, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The S Select Sport adds a second automatic climate-control zone plus leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, proximity keyless entry, an eight-way power driver's seat, driver's-side memory, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector. It also has heated side mirrors with reverse tilt-in, rear privacy glass, rear air-conditioning vents, a rear center armrest with beverage holders, and 18-inch wheels.

The S Preferred is upgraded with a power moonroof, roof rails, rain-sensing windshield wipers, an overhead console with a sunglasses holder, and a wireless device charger. The S Aire Edition builds on that list with black-finish exterior accents and white leatherette upholstery with gray fabric inserts. The S Carbon Edition also uses the S Preferred as its foundation but adds Polymetal Gray paint (an exclusive color for the non-turbo trims), red leather upholstery, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Mazda expands on the Carbon Edition by enhancing the S Premium’s amenities with black or white leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, adaptive front lighting, a head-up display, and signature exterior lighting. The Turbo Aire Edition starts with the features of the S Air Edition and adds a heated steering wheel, a power liftgate, a head-up display, signature exterior lighting, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Upscale describes the Turbo Premium Plus, which amplifies the S Premium's amenities with an auto-dimming driver's side mirror, black-finished exterior accents, a windshield wiper de-icer, and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

The 2026 CX-30 is equipped with an array of advanced driver-assist features, including adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, rear seat alert, and vehicle exit warning. The Preferred and higher trims have rear/rear cross-traffic automatic braking and front and rear parking sensors. A surround-view monitor and traffic sign recognition are standard with the Premium, Turbo Aire Edition, and Turbo Premium Plus. The Turbo Premium Plus also gets traffic jam assist. All 2026 Mazda CX-30 trims are further protected by multiple airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, and a backup monitor.

Infotainment and Connectivity

While the S and S Select Sport have an 8.8-inch infotainment display, the higher trims (Preferred and above) move up to a 10.25-inch display. Both systems are managed by a center console command knob and have voice command, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (wireless on the Select Sport and above), Bluetooth, and access to Mazda Connected Services. The Premium Plus is set up with access to SiriusXM satellite radio. The first half of the lineup (the S through the S Air Edition) has an eight-speaker sound system, while the higher trims (Carbon and above) receive a 12-speaker Bose upgrade.
