New Mazda 2021 Mazda CX-30 for Sale in Springfield, MA
Crossovers that are as state-of-the-art as the 2021 Mazda CX-30 are difficult to come by. While most in the industry follow a similar design, Mazda stands apart with an ability to manufacture upscale crossovers (and vehicles in general) that are affordable, well-appointed, and uniquely stylish. A few of the 2021 Mazda CX-30’s design elements may look familiar, as they were inspired by other Mazda models. It also has a slightly raised suspension, an available all-wheel drivetrain, and an interior that’s both plush and practical. For 2021, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now included as standard, and a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine making 250 hp and 320 lb.-ft. of torque will be available for the AWD versions at a later date.
Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Efficiency
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 is a subcompact crossover that’s available in base 2.5 S, Select, Preferred, and Premium trim levels. Their 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine produces 186 hp and 186 lb.-ft. of torque and gets a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard across the board, but all-wheel drive is available, as mentioned. With the standard FWD system, the 2021 Mazda CX-30 returns an EPA-estimated 25 mpg around town and 33 mpg on the highway; the AWD versions drop a tad to 24 city/31 highway.
For a base trim, the 2.5 S is provided with quite the assortment of top-shelf features: LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, 16-inch wheels, keyless entry and ignition, a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat, cloth-upholstered sport seats, and a rearview camera. The Select integrates turn-signal indicators for the side mirrors, rear privacy glass, 18-inch wheels, advanced keyless entry (which can unlock the doors without you needing to take the key fob out of your pocket), dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, simulated-leather-upholstered sport seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The Preferred adds memory functions for the side mirrors, a moonroof, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat with memory. The Premium tops off with signature LED headlights and taillights, a roof-mounted “shark fin” antenna, a power liftgate, roof rails, and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Some highlights of the optional equipment list are roof-rack cross bars, a Thule roof basket, BBS wheels, all-weather floor mats, illuminated door sill trim plates, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, a wireless device charging pad, and a cargo area cover, net, mat, and tray.
Active Safety and Technology Features
All 2021 Mazda CX-30 trims come with a slate of active driver aids, including forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high beams. The Select delivers blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while the Premium adds an adaptive front lighting system and traffic sign recognition. A mobile 911 automatic emergency notification system is also included on all trims.
The base 2.5 S receives a good amount of tech features, such as an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming capability, two USB audio ports, HD radio, and Mazda Connected Services for your smartphone. The top-of-the-line Premium yields integrated navigation, a head-up display, satellite radio, and a premium 12-speaker Bose audio system.
2021 CX-30 Trims
This is the entry-level 2021 Mazda CX-30 trim level. The 2.5 in its name indicates its engine, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder (186 hp and 186 lb.-ft. of torque). Its powertrain partner is a six-speed automatic transmission; front-wheel drive is the default and all-wheel drive is available. According to EPA estimates, the FWD versions achieve 25 city/33 highway, and the AWD ones return 24 city/31 highway. The 2.5 S’s exterior highlights are automatic on/off LED headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, 16-inch wheels, and keyless entry. Inside, the 2.5 S has push-button ignition, a 12-volt power outlet, two USB audio inputs, a 7-inch LCD meter display, a rearview camera, and a 60/40 split fold-down rear seatback.
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5 S also gets an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch touchscreen (it can also be controlled by voice recognition), Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, an eight-speaker sound system, HD radio, Mazda Connected Services, and SMS text message audio delivery and reply capability. Its advanced safety features include smart brake support, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, driver attention alert, and automatic high beams.

The Preferred Package includes all of that in addition to side mirrors with position memory and reverse tilt-down capability, a moonroof, illuminated vanity mirrors, heated front seats, an overhead console with a sunglasses holder, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and memory.
The Premium Package bundles those amenities on top of signature LED headlights and taillights, adaptive headlights, roof rails, a roof-mounted shark fin antenna, a power liftgate, paddle shifters, SiriusXM satellite radio, a gloss-painted speaker grille, integrated navigation, a head-up display, and traffic sign recognition.

The 2.5 Turbo versions get a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 227 hp and 310 lb.-ft. of torque (250 hp and 320 lb.-ft. of torque with premium fuel). Its transmission is the same six-speed automatic that the base engine gets. AWD is standard, and fuel economy is rated at 22 city/30 highway.
The base 2.5 Turbo gets the equipment listed in the previous section for the 2.5 S Preferred along with roof rails and a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The 2.5 Turbo Premium gets those items plus a heated steering wheel and the contents of the Premium Package.
