A Pair of Electrified Powertrains

Mazda will offer the debuting CX-70 with two electrified powertrain choices: a mild hybrid and a PHEV. The mild-hybrid will consist of a turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine producing 280 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque, while the PHEV will pair a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to generate a total system output of 323 hp and 369 lb.-ft. of torque. Both will pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drivetrain.

The mild hybrid has been rated by the EPA to achieve an estimated 24 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The PHEV will have an all-electric range of 26 miles and return 56 MPGe. The 2025 Mazda CX-70 mild hybrid will be able to tow up to 5,000 pounds, while 3,500 lb. will be the upper limit for the PHEV version.

Meticulous Design, Inside and Out

Mazda is known for making an upscale impression, and this latest addition to their lineup is no exception. From its eye-catching exterior profile to its refined cabin, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 is designed to make a sophisticated statement. Depending on which of the seven trims you choose, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 will feature an array of upmarket amenities like quilted Nappa leather upholstery with suede accents, a two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats with driver’s position memory, a hands-free power liftgate, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient interior lighting.

Mazda will also install the latest tech, including a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Alexa built-in (a first for the automaker), a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a wireless phone charger. Plus, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 will be available with new Melting Copper paint and a striking red interior inspired by the 100th-anniversary edition Mazda MX-5 roadster.

Cutting-Edge Safety Features

The all-encompassing i-Activesense safety suite will come standard in the 2025 Mazda CX-70, supplying each trim with a bevy of advanced driving aids like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, driver attention monitoring, and lane keep assist with lane departure warning. In the higher trims, safety and convenience will be heightened by a surround-view camera, blind-spot assist, traffic sign recognition, and parking sensors (front and rear).
